Pressure rises on international permits option

According to the newspaper, the Australian Industry Group has been joined by independent Senator Nick Xenophon and the Business Council of Australia in lobbying the government to include international permits as part of the government's Direct Action policy, a move which AiG head Innes Willox said would reduce "financial and abatement risks" in meeting Australia's 5 per cent reduction target by 2020.
