LNG won't add to FY15 profits: Origin

But the company said underlying operational performance of its business continued to improve and progress, and that Australia Pacific LNG production “would translate into significant growth in earnings from FY2016 and beyond”.

The Australian energy company told shareholders its annual general meeting today, fiscal 2015 and 2016 will be transitional years as the company commences LNG production in Queensland, but warned that the current year’s profit will not be buoyed by LNG.

The company expects production will grow strongly the following year as both trains come into production and contribute accordingly to growth in Origin’s earnings.
